General Manager Tim Deutsch completed the renewal of the Special District Administrator Certification in September 2021, after completing more than 75 continuing education hours. This certification is part of the Special District Leadership Foundation's programs to promote good governance.  He had originally received this recognition in March 25, 2009.  In order to be considered for the program, an applicant must possess several years of experience as a public administrator, completion of college courses/degrees, continuing education courses/training, community service and completion of required ethics and harassment prevention training.  Once the applicant is approved to the program, he/she must pass the Special District Administrator Certification Examination, which covers many public administrative topics such as governance, public law, policy development, leadership, strategic planning, finance, public relations, budget, audit and personnel management.
